FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Here are answers to the questions we hear most. Don't see yours? Call (702) 737-8381.
Visiting the shop
- What are your hours?
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. We're closed Saturday and Sunday.
- Where are you?
- 4200 W Desert Inn Rd, Las Vegas, NV 89102, in central Las Vegas. Our entrance and parking are wheelchair accessible.
- Do I need to make an appointment?
- Appointments are preferred. We understand situations arise, and we'll accommodate accordingly. Just call us at (702) 737-8381.
- Can I drop my vehicle off?
- Yes. Let us know when you book, and we'll talk through timing and how we'll reach you when it's ready.
- What if I have to leave my car overnight?
- Rest assured, we'll take care of your vehicle while it's in our possession. We keep all cars inside our locked and alarmed shop.
- Do you offer loaner cars or rides?
- If getting to and from the shop is a concern, mention it when you book and we'll talk through your options and the timing with you.
Estimates, inspections and diagnostics
- Do you give estimates?
- Yes. Once we know what your vehicle needs, we'll explain the work and give you an estimate. No work starts until you approve it.
- Is the inspection free?
- Yes, the inspection is complimentary. We offer courtesy inspections before you buy a used vehicle and before a trip, and we do one with every minor oil service and other manufacturer-recommended services. It includes the checks listed below, including engine-code documentation and research. Further diagnostic testing is a separate paid service, confirmed before it starts.
- What does the Free Vehicle Inspection include?
- Check Dash Warning Lights. Check Engine Codes - Document & Research. Check Battery - Visual & Battery Tester. Check Wiper Blades. Check All Lights. Check Air Filters. Check For Fluid Leaks. Check & Top Off All Fluids. Check Hoses & Belts. Check/Measure Brake Pads & Brake Rotors. Check Tires - Tread & Air Pressure. Rotate Tires If Needed. Check Steering. Check Suspension.
- What's the difference between the complimentary inspection and diagnostics?
- The Free Vehicle Inspection includes checking, documenting and researching engine codes, along with the other listed checks. Further diagnostic testing to find out why a fault is happening is a paid service, and we'll always confirm it with you before that testing starts.
- Can you give me a quote over the phone?
- Although it sounds simple, there are variables that go into an accurate quote. We always prefer to see the vehicle, so we don't have to guess and quote a worst-case scenario.
- What happens if you find something else while working on my car?
- We stop and call you. We'll explain what we found and whether it's urgent, and nothing extra is done without your OK.
Repairs and parts
- What vehicles do you work on?
- Domestic and import cars and trucks, including Japanese, Korean and European models, and light-duty diesels.
- Do you work on hybrid or electric cars?
- Yes to both. On fully electric vehicles we're limited to certain services, such as suspension, brakes, tires and lights.
- Do you work on European and Asian imports?
- Yes. Call with your year, make and model, and we'll confirm we can help.
- How often should I change my oil?
- If you're using full synthetic oil, every 5,000 miles.
- What kind of parts do you use?
- Quality parts suited to your vehicle. If there's a choice that affects price or how long the part lasts, we'll explain it so you can choose.
- Can I bring my own parts?
- We usually get this question from someone trying to save money, and it rarely works that way. What generally happens is the part fails, and the warranty that comes with it is difficult for the customer to deal with: buy another part, send the defective one back and wait to get reimbursed. We could tell you story after story of how this goes wrong. We use the best quality parts, and that includes a no-hassle warranty if it's ever needed. In the long run, the best way to save money is to do it right the first time.
- How long will my repair take?
- It depends on the job and parts availability. Many repairs are done the same day, and we'll give you a time when we quote the work.
- Do you stand behind your work?
- Yes. Ask us about the warranty on your specific repair when we quote it.
Payment and businesses
- What payment methods do you accept?
- We accept credit and debit cards.
- Do you service business and fleet vehicles?
- Yes, business cars, pickups and vans, domestic and import. See Fleet & Work Vehicles or call us to talk it through.
